Se caracteriz\u00f3 por su nobleza y valent\u00eda para defender la fe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Santo no se aisl\u00f3 en la soledad de su celda sino lo contrario: inspirado por las frases\u00a0 \u201cS\u00e9 fuerte y ten buen \u00e1nimo! \u00a1No temas ni desmayes!\u201d (1 Cr\u00f3nicas 22:13)\u00a0 viv\u00eda motivado y avanzaba con mucha determinaci\u00f3n y valent\u00eda luchando en pro de la fe ortodoxa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Procopio sobresali\u00f3 en su posici\u00f3n contra los her\u00e9ticos monofisistas y tambi\u00e9n apoy\u00f3 la veneraci\u00f3n de los iconos. El emperador Le\u00f3n era un salvaje iconoclasta que persigui\u00f3 y tortur\u00f3 a muchos que ten\u00edan la posici\u00f3n del Santo.
